Who Cares, Indeed?
Few if any people on the earth will ever care about you, or your dreams, even half as much as you. That means it's up to you to make the magic happen in your life. It's you who has to care.
How many times have you looked at, for example, a celebrity in any given field, looked at their performance and said silently or aloud, "Oh, I could do MUCH better than that." If your words are indeed true, not just bragging, real down-in-the-bones knowledge of certitude that you could do it better, then we have now narrowed down to just one primary difference between you and the celebrity, who cares less about you than a high-priced medical doctor.
Even if you're actually twice as good as that person, the fact is, that person is doing while you're still talking. Many, let's repeat that, many times have we encountered people who stun with their inadequacy, yet rise to heights in either entertainment or politics, law or medicine, or perhaps something a bit more local. Those who occupy the highest ten percent are not necessarily in the best ten percent.
Who Cares? Who Cares?
Similarly, successful people more often than not are not even slightly famous; they're too busy being successful. Of course, Richard Branson or Jackie Gleason, and others, prove that there are exceptions to the rule. Because they represent such a tiny percentage of the populace, everyday people fall into line and give up their money to such people. In business, theater, amusement parks, garbage food in restaurants where the quality of the dining room is generally far higher than the quality invested into the actual food, the populace, which does tend to include you, push rivers of overpayment to those who dare to ask you to do so.
True logic dictates that the exceptions to the rule are the causes of the rule in the first place. While this does not apply one hundred percent of the time, a consultation with Pareto should settle any questions on that. That's why the question of who cares is so abused. In fact, none of these people care anything at all for your needs or wants, beyond how they can convince you that they do with a sufficiency to get you to empty out your pockets.
So, Who Cares? Who Cares?
Since no one else cares, doesn't it matter enough to induce just tiny changes in your lifestyle that will put many thousands of dollars back into your pockets and life? Who cares? Not your favorite movie star, that's for sure, nor the multi-million dollar ball player who's laughing at you for paying all tht money to rent an uncomfortable seat for a price that's ten, twenty, eirty times more than it's worth. They do care, they just don't care about you.
All of the celebrities living obscenely excessive lifestyles do so because YOU subsidize it right out of your pocket. If you really believe that the sweet ingenue starlet or full-blown movie star would help you out of a financial bind, then it's hard to fault that celebrity for emptying out your pockets from behind the skirts of agents and managers. How silly can we be? Don't you think it's time to wait a few months for the movie to end up on TV? If we're treating serously with the question of who cares, that is, who cares about YOU, it's safe to begin such a discussion by eliminating all the celebrities you're supporting.
Famous people, curiously, also tend to be not so successful. They may have money, but would you trade your life for, say, that of Michavel Jackson? Extraordinary and world-class skills, and equally world-class personal challenges that give clear evidence of unhappiness, even with global recognition, wealth that kings dream of, and no small base of adoring fans. Would you trade? If so, it tells us that you're not pursuing your most cherished dreams; and that brings this thought right back where it started: successful people are only occasionally famous, because they're too busy being successful to think about the empty vanity of celebrity. The realities of this are well-testified to by the spirits of, for example, Dodi Fayed, a billionaire who died rather young because of celebrity, and his girlfriend as well, known as Princess Di.
We realize that you're a bit different, and that you still have plenty of time, and plenty of years in which to get busy. Funny thing is, the're only one permanently tagged item in your life that nothing can ever change, at least it's never been known to change and is not expected to change as long as there is life on earth. It's the most unique thing in your life, and so precious that it's labeled more uniquely than anything else on earth. For reasons that befuddle many of us who are a bit busier than you, you genuinely believe that it's "cute" how they label this precious of all your resources. That, in closing, tells us precisely how much you can look forward to learning, because the gap right now is huge, baby, just huge.
It's not "cute" - it's the most powerful signal that humans are exposed to, and it's your personal clarion call to greatness, even accelerated greatness, in the area and delights of your choosing. It is your greatest call to greatness, backed up by a lifetime guarantee that it's record will exist always and forever, can't be changed.
Even with that it can still be maximized anew at your will, and as often as you wish with no outside force able to deter you. Better yet, using it to launch your own star, your own profesionalism or compassion, philanthropy or musical expression, means other people get to benefit while you end up developing recognition for mastery at something or a set of things you love. That's powerful, and it's all yours. Sweetest of all, like a pinball or video machine with unlimited misses, you can add quantity and/or quality to your total at your instant command.
It is today's date. Go ahead, look at the calendar, even say today's date out loud. Literally unique.
It's the only one you'll ever get in your life, never to be repeated, although you may have 20 or 30 similar dates, similar opportunities, similar April 16th's in your life, and October 4ths, maybe you've got a full threedozen useful and active July 11th's left in you. But, you only get one of today's precise date and year, this perfectly unique set of 1,440 minutes, also known as opportunities.
Basically, this is where we all get counted for who and what we are, the sum of all of our yesterdays plus what we are doing today;
and the losers are separated by the winners, because at this point,
the losers are still flapping their gums, and the winners are too busy pursuing their dreams with action today; the unique today. It is so much fun to look back on a definite and specific day of happiness, ranging from a birth or wedding or prom, one day that just makes you say, "Aaaahhhh, yes." Surely you have a couple of them, don't you?
Not even one time was it an accident that created your happiness. It was something done intentionally by someone, most often you, and can be duplicated. Just work backwards and live it forwards. That means looking at the end result, and the last step before it became the last result, and then the step just before that, and so on... ... ... until you get to where we are right now in this minute.
Whether or not you deserve it, you are given, each and every day of your life - so far a rather mediocre affair,
one thousand four hundred and forty separate opportunities to shine. ... and that's just today alone! Imagine what you'd do if you actually tracked HOW you are frittering away most of those 1,440 opportunities.
By investing a thousand minutes per day creating the Masters Millionaires Tao, look where we've gotten.
